uzzy Logic Control of Microhole lectrical Discharge Machining

چکیده

microhole electrical discharge machining (EDM) system with daptive fuzzy logic control and precision piezoelectric stage is eveloped in this study. A high-speed EDM monitoring system is mplemented to measure the gap voltage, current, and ignition elay time, which are used to derive three input parameters—the verage gap voltage, deviation in spark ratio, and change in the eviation in spark ratio—for the fuzzy logic control. Servo dislacement and speed of the piezoelectric stage during each samling duration are synthesized in real time by the adaptive fuzzy ogic controller. Effects of the single and multiple input paramters, ignition delay threshold value, and maximum servo dislacement and speed on the EDM drilling process are experimenally studied. Experimental results show that the fuzzy logic EDM ontrol system yields a much more stable and efficient microhole DM drilling process. DOI: 10.1115/1.2977827
